alexander shulgins theory says that man has produced endogenous hallucinogens in prehistoric times. in order to ensure his survival this had to regress. what remains in our generation are receptors, modern man has only receptors. with the ep only receptors les points debut with their eponymous label. four tracks aligned to stimulate the receptors on the dance floor.

david k represents something thats all too rare in electronic music today: an artist who makes music first and club music second. for him, emotion is paramount, melody is important, the pop format has its perks and original material is always better than a sample. late at night and early in the morning he dances alone in his studio, tapping away on his keyboards and throwing together arrangements on the fly (a pianist by training, he cant bear to make music slouched over a mouse). his only goal is to make something that will keep himself dancing.

the first release is always a big milestone for any label. in our case the first one (astrac ep) is also a long anticipated one, the title track waiting to be released for a long time. so far there is nothing ordinary about ztrls career as he had a big fan base without a single release or a dj gig. as a result of his ongoing inspiration by ricardo villalobos and encouragement from a:rpia:r s petre inspirescu among others he sharpened his producer skills which yielded astrac ep, another 2013 release on pluie/noir recordings compilation (pluie/noir year one) and an independent release on soul.on records titled >soul two< which was also remixed by the hungarian laurine frost. on top of his producer activity hes an avid record collector and a regular guest on uks rejam radio show, hes also done a podcast mix for the romanian nightclubber webzines unknown 500 series.
